Proficio, ConSentry Networks, and ACA Pacific Educate Market on Thailand’s New Cyber Laws.
REDWOOD CITY, Calif. (January 29, 2008) – Proficio Group LLC, a provider of global sales and marketing services, today announced that it is teaming up with ConSentry Networks, and ACA Pacific to deliver an educational seminar on Thailand’s new cyber laws.
Thailand is one of the few countries in the world where government regulations drive a hard requirement for IT security. Recent cyber laws require businesses and government organizations to have visibility and control of data traversing an organization’s network.
On February 19th, 2008 business and government leaders are being invited to an educational seminar hosted by Proficio, ConSentry Networks, and ACA Pacific at the Swissotel Le Concorde Hotel Bangkok. Speakers will include a guest speaker from Thailand's Ecommerce Government Exchange Department and Jeff Prince who prior to becoming chairman and CTO of ConSentry Networks, was a founder of Foundry Networks, where he led Foundry's hardware engineering group. Prince holds eight patents related to networking technologies and brings to ConSentry more than 16 years of experience developing networking and ASIC technologies.
“There is very little visibility of this issue outside of Thailand,” said Ilan Stern, GM of Proficio SE Asia. “And yet these laws have turned security from a nice to have to a must have technology.”
