Tim McElwee, CEO

Prior to co-founding the Proficio Group, Tim was CEO-President of Imperito Networks. During Tim's tenure, Imperito transitioned from a managed services model to offering integrated security access software, closed 300 customers, signed strategic agreements with global telecom and services companies, and raised $6M of new capital. Tim has held multiple senior executive positions including VP of Worldwide Sales and Service for both Phoenix Technologies (Nasdaq PTEC) and Ramp Networks (acquired by Nokia). Tim has a proven track record of developing sales organizations, channels, and partnerships in multiple industries across global markets. He brings our clients domain knowledge on the networking, storage, security and business services as well as OEM, channels and enterprise selling models. Tim studied business at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

John Humphreys, VP of Marketing and Business Development

Prior to co-founding the Proficio Group, John was VP of Marketing and Business Development at BRECIS Communications (acquired by PMC-Sierra). Prior to BRECIS, John was VP of Product Marketing at Ramp Networks (acquired by Nokia). He also held management positions with Madge Networks, Ungermann-Bass, Ingres, and Hewlett Packard. John brings our clients over 20 years of experience in helping execute breakthrough-marketing strategies and forming channel and partner relationships. John's global marketing experience spans high tech hardware, software, and consumer products. He has an MBA from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management with a focus on marketing.

Ilan Stern, VP and General Manager, SE Asia

Prior to joining Proficio Group, Ilan founded a number of leading system integrator businesses in Thailand focusing on the enterprise market in areas related to operational efficiency improvement, outsourcing and leveraging information technology to achieve corporate strategies. Ilan also ran a telecommunications solutions business in Thailand that focused on providing local carriers access and transmission solutions to their corporate customers. Prior to these business ventures, Ilan was a senior partner with PricewaterhouseCoopers Consulting where he worked for 12 years. Ilan brings to Proficio Group domain expertise in business development, supply chain management, financial management, IT implementation, and corporate strategy. Ilan is based in Bangkok has lived and worked in South East Asia for more than 25 years.

Ben Marshall, VP of Technical Services

Prior to joining Proficio Group, Ben owned an IT consulting company in Sydney focusing on designing and implementing enterprise-class networks and IT security products. Ben has held the position of Director of Information Technology with Dynamite and worked as a senior systems engineer with Fujitsu, Mirapoint, and FaceTime. Ben has over 15 years of experience and is expert with products from Microsoft, Cisco, VMware, and others. Ben studied computer science at the University of Sydney. Ben is based in Sydney.

Luis E. Tapia, VP Sales, LATAM

Luis has 15 years Sales experience helping start ups develop International markets with a focus in Latin America. Much of his career has been emphasized in networking security. Prior to joining Proficio Group, Luis was one of the pioneers for NetScreen in the Latin American market. He has held other Sales Management positions, developing these markets from the ground up, for companies including Juniper Networks, Infoblox, Secuware Inc, and Airtight Networks. Luis brings his wealth of knoweldge in Channel Development, Sales & Marketing, and Networking in the Latin American Region.
