Proficio Appoints Dustin Ritter as Chief Marketing Officer

Managed detection and response provider taps security incident response expert to support global expansion initiatives

CARLSBAD, Calif. – January 24, 2017 – Proficio, one of the fastest growing managed security service providers (MSSP) delivering managed detection and response (MDR), has appointed Dustin Ritter as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO).

Ritter comes to Proficio from Resolve Systems, a security incident resolution and automation software provider based in Irvine, Calif., where he served as CMO. At Proficio, Ritter will be responsible for overseeing the planning, development, and execution of Proficio’s communications, marketing, and advertising strategies. His primary responsibility will be to generate revenue by increasing sales through marketing for the entire organization, using market research, product marketing, marketing communications, advertising, and public relations.

Ritter brings over 15 years of marketing experience in the software and security industry to his new role at Proficio. Prior to his time at Resolve, Ritter served as CMO at Trackforce, a security management application provider, and Vice President of Marketing at MarcomCentral, an enterprise marketing asset management firm.

The hiring of Ritter is the next phase in Proficio’s growth strategy, after receiving $12 million in funding last year led by Kayne Capital, a leading alternative investment management firm focused primarily on the middle market in North America. The company is using the investment to expand its global geographical presence in the Americas, Asia Pacific, and Europe, and introduce new cybersecurity platforms and services.
